Participants learn when and how to use a problem solving method that leads to the best solution, followed by an action plan and buy-in from those affected. Solving problems is easier and faster, using a problem solving method becomes part of the culture (read "way of life"), solutions actually get implemented and bottom line process improvements are the result. Best of all, participants work on actual work problems during the course which optimizes time spent in training.
At the end of this program participants will be able to:
- Use a four step problem solving method including problem identification, data collection, analysis and implementation of solutions
- Use 8 - 12 problem solving tools and techniques selected for your needs from our Continuous Improvement Toolbox
- Understand and overcome the barriers to changes that result in solution implementations
- Develop measures to monitor the success of the solution
This course is customized to the your company requirements and generally requires 24-32 hours for completion. The methods used to facilitate learning include case studies, role-playing, self-assessments, group activities, discussions and videos. Participants apply the problem solving process and tools to real work problems in the workshop environment.
